国民服务营将推出模拟选举 (Mock polls to be held at NS camps)

SEPANG: The National Service Training Depart­ment will introduce the election programme at all 79 National Service (NS) camps next year.

雪邦：国民服务训练局将于明年起，在全国79间国民服务营，推出模拟选举课程。

 

National Service Training Department director-general Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang Kechil said a pilot programme which was carried out at 14 NS camps since early this year had showed encouraging result.

国民服务训练局总监拿督阿都哈迪（Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang Kechil）表示，这模拟选举曾于今年初，在14个国民服务营推行，然而效果也非常可观。

 

“The trainees were receptive towards the programme and our instructors also are ready. We should be able to introduce this programme at next year’s first batch intake,” he said here yesterday.

“营员们都很投入其中，且我们的导师也准备好了。因此我们的确有能力在明年的第一梯次推行此课程。”他在昨日发表以上谈话。

 

He said the programme, under the Nationalism Training Module, would see mock elections being held at the camps where trainees would vote for their respective parliamentary representatives.

他说，这模拟选举属于国民训练单元（Nationalism Training Module）的课程之一。模拟选举的进行方式，将由营员投选出他们各自的国会代议士。

 

“It is a three-day simulation involving the dissolution of Parliament, selection of candidates and the election process.

“这为期三天的模拟选举，将有解散国会、候选人提名、以及投票。”

 

“The Election Commission will help us out on this programme,” he said, adding that the programme was aimed at exposing trainees to the country’s election process.

“选举委员会也将协助我们进行这课程。”他也补充说明，这课程是一个向营员说明我们国家是如何进行选举的。
